TMR performs many of the standard immersion and electrochemical corrosion test methods used to evaluate stainless steels and other corrosion resistant alloys. Specific test capabilities include;
Immersion Methods
ASTM G 48, Standard test Method for Pitting and Crevice Corrosion Resistance of Stainless Steel and Related Alloys by Use of Ferric Chloride Solution
ASTM A 923 Standard Test method for Detecting Detrimental Intermetallic Phase in Duplex Austenitic/Ferritic Stainless Steels Testing
Electrochemical Test Methods
- Anodic and Cathodic Polarization measurements
- Polarization Resistance Measurements for determination of the corrosion rate
- Cyclic Polarization Measurements for Evaluation of Susceptibility to Localized Corrosion
- Single-Loop and Double-Loop Electrochemical Reactivation (EPR) Testing for the evaluation of the Susceptibility to intergranular attack
In-situ Measurements
TMR can assist in the design, placement, and evaluation of coupon test racks to assist in material selection and characterization of client's process streams.
